How to connect your SolarEdge inverter to the internet

1. Prepare your setup

Make sure your home WiFi network is working properly — check you can connect to it using your phone or tablet.

Have a tablet or laptop handy; it’s easier to complete the setup on a larger screen.

If you’ve recently changed internet provider, modem/router, WiFi name (SSID), or password, you’ll need to reconnect your inverter using the updated details.

Install the mySolarEdge App and have your login credential handy: If you haven’t already, download and install the mySolarEdge app on your smartphone or tablet from the App Store or
Google Play Store. If you don’t know your login credential, please raise a support ticket with SolarHub and we will assist you.

2. Open the mySolarEdge app

Make sure you have the mySolarEdge app installed.

Open it on your phone or tablet.

3. Go to Inverter Communication Settings

Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.

Select Inverter Communication from the list.

4. Scan the QR code on your inverter

The app will prompt you to scan your inverter’s QR code.

You’ll find this QR code on the right-hand side of the inverter casing.

5. Activate the inverter’s WiFi access mode

Locate the red ON / OFF / P switch on your SolarEdge inverter.

Move the switch to P (Pairing) and release it within 2 seconds.

This action activates the inverter’s local WiFi hotspot.

6. Connect your phone to the inverter’s WiFi network

Your device will detect a WiFi network broadcast by the inverter.

When the pop-up appears, tap Join to connect.

Stay connected to this network while completing the next steps.

7. Configure the inverter’s WiFi settings

Once connected, tap Configure in the mySolarEdge app.

Select your home WiFi network from the list.

Enter your WiFi password (case-sensitive) and tap Join.

8. Confirm connection success

The app will show a confirmation message once connection is complete.

On the inverter itself, a solid blue LED indicates a successful and stable WiFi connection.
